InsurTech weekly - Navigating the future of AI tackling pitfalls leveraging the best

This essay explores how insurers are adopting AI, from corporate priorities and early use-cases to Gartner’s four roadmaps for AI in the workplace. It also highlights the limits and risks of current AI models, reminding us that even advanced systems still make mistakes.

1/ The augmented (AI) insurer ?

The first article is an essay I wrote following several announcements incumbents made around artificial intelligence. This was an opportunity to have a look at the 'demand' side of insurance innovation, while I usually analyze the 'offer' side (startups leveraging technology to add value in the insurance industry). I had a look at priorities, challenges and key words corporates shared and highlighted two ways insurers have explored AI so far.

2/ Four ways to embrace AI at work

The second article is an essay Patrice BERNARD wrote on the future of AI at work. He had a look back at Gartner's recent announcement which had drawn four roadmaps corporates could consider to embrace AI at scale in their organizations. It's based on a scale from human only to human enhanced with AI and from no impact to job transformed. Which raises questions on the HR impact to get ready for.

3/ AI makes mistakes too

The third article, published on VentureBeat, analyzes how much LLM are making mistake. It summarizes a keynote from Forrester highlighting the limits of AI models (as of today). And beyond the error rates across models, it also have a look at security challenges surrounding the adoption of AI. Which is a great reminder that AI - like any other technology - should not be taken for granted !
