The offer is aimed at owners of vehicles with an annual mileage of less than 10,000 kilometers.

Insurtech YU! has launched a new automotive insurance offering called YU!Kilometry. This product is designed for vehicle owners who drive relatively little, with low annual mileage potentially providing drivers with discounts of up to 30% on their insurance premiums. The coverage can be customized according to the customer's preferences, including options like liability insurance (OC), comprehensive insurance (AC) in four variants, roadside assistance (in two variants), personal accident insurance (NNW), and a green card. The insurance protection is provided by insurtech wefox.

Customers can purchase the YU!Kilometry policy on the dedicated website mojekilometry.pl. To do so, they need to scan the Aztec code from their vehicle registration certificate (or manually enter the data) and choose their preferred insurance coverage.

For Yanosik users, the new offering can be found directly within their app under the "Yanosik Ubezpieczenia" (Yanosik Insurance) section. It's worth noting that Yanosik and YU! have been collaborating on telematics-based insurance for several years, where app users demonstrating safe driving habits can secure insurance coverage on favorable terms.

The new offer targets individuals who drive less than 10,000 kilometers annually. The discount is determined based on the driver's historical mileage and applies throughout the entire insurance period. According to the representatives of these companies, there are currently over 4 million vehicles in Poland that are used occasionally. The final policy price is also influenced by other tariff factors such as claims history and vehicle type.

Telematics-based insurance typically operates under one of two models: "pay how you drive" (PHYD) or "pay as you drive" (PAYD). Drivers can obtain lower premiums by reducing the risk of accidents either through safe driving habits or by driving less frequently. These policies are based on the real-time behavior of the customer. In this sense, YU!'s new offering is not strictly a telematics policy, as it does not change the price during the contract if the customer suddenly starts driving more (as is the case with PAYD offerings in other countries). However, YU! representatives assure that their tool is based on precise data and extensive experience gained through their collaboration with Yanosik.
